It happens very occasionally without any apparent logical rule ...

I have looked to the web server log (it's my squid-cache.org mirror
....), and this is what I have found in apache 2 access.log:

The failing request was not logged by Apache, and there is nothing in
Apache's error.log.

Yesterday night I got again 4 - 5 times the Zero Sized Reply error,
but without any new cache.log error, so likely this could be another problem.

I will try to switch to ufs, I have still some doubt about the
correct Windows threads implementation of awin32 ... :-(
