Netdate makes squid 1.1.8 terminate

Hi,

I upgraded my Linux 2.0.27 box from squid 1.0.18 to 1.1.8. I run netdate
at 2.00am to synchronize the internal clock. Since version 1.1.8 I often
notice squid terminating silently after netdate has been executed. This
did not happen with 1.0.18.
Did I find a bug, or should I stop using netdate?
