WCCP - cache only , no proxy

hello squid users ,

        is it possible to configure squid as a pure CACHE server not a
proxy server ? what i mean is , i'd like all www/ftp traffic to pass
through squid and if the object requested is in the cache , then squid
forward the object to the client but if the object is not in squid's cache
, then squid will be the one to request it from the source and cache it to
it's cache but upon retrieving the object , squid uses the client's IP
address who requested the object ...
