Do you have the kernel headers installed?

Quick test: Does the following two commands work:

ls -l /usr/include/asm/.
ls -l /usr/include/linux/.

Second, make sure that these two point to the original kernel headers
provided by RedHat. Replacing the kernel headers when changing the
kernel has a number of glibc header compability issues...
