Hi,

I would like to ask what the deal is with TCP_MISS.

I went to a well known site as a test with the following command running.

tail -f /var/logs/squid/access.log |grep hotmail

and received the following result.

---------------result---------------
984554931.377 1798 203.166.52.200 TCP_MISS/200 11053 GET
http://lc1.law13.hotm
ail.passport.com/cgi-bin/login - DIRECT/lc1.law13.hotmail.passport.com
text/html
984554936.423 2018 203.166.52.200 TCP_MISS/200 2040 GET
http://lc1.law13.hotma
il.passport.com/cgi-bin/dasp/EN/hotmail___3.css -
DIRECT/lc1.law13.hotmail.passp
ort.com text/css
--------------end result-------------

Is that a normal expected log for going to the site www.hotmail.com .

The thing that worries me is the TCP_MISS, can someone give me a breif
explanation and point me to a doco about it?
