[squid-users] about bytes sent item in access.log

hi,all

i'm writing to ask some questions about the bytes squid sent( format
code: <st ) what is logged in file access.log.

we found the figure loged in access.log is the bytes sent to adapter
buffer but not client. If is it correct what i understand? If it is
right, how can i get the bytes sent to CLIENT but not buffer area?

There are some lines in my /etc/sysctl.conf (OS: RHEL 4.3), if is it related?

net.core.wmem_max = 9000000
net.core.wmem_default = 9000000
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem = 92160 5000000 13107200
