When idle almost no CPU is used (it is not shown on the top screen).

When given some work (~6 requests/second) it still does not show up as
using any CPU.

When given a lot of work (~70 request/second) it uses about 50% of the
CPU.

This is on a Pentium 133.

How is your Squid configured & compiled?
