cache errors when upgrading from 1.1.21 to 1.1.22?

I just upgraded from squid 1.1.21 to squid 1.1.22. Should I have
removed my cache before doing this upgrade? I did not remove it, I
let 1.1.22 use the existing cache, and it caused some warnings I
hadn't seen before. First of all, I had several entries like this in
the cache.log at startup time:

Then, once squid had finished initializing the cache, occasionally I
saw warnings like this:

etc.

When I went to view some of these URLs, I found that squid had the
wrong object in the cache for each of them.

So, I stopped squid, cleared the cache, and restarted it. So far it's
working fine, so I'm assuming my old cache contents were the problem?
